MSU Faculty, Staff and Graduate Assistants have the ability to create D2L Development Courses and Communities.
You can use these spaces to test ideas or prepare materials before your department has taken the steps necessary to have the "real" course space created. The contents of development courses can be moved to the "real" (created by the Registrar which contains student roster) course space when you are ready. You can add any NetIDs you wish to have access, but student class lists from the Registrar will never be imported into development space. Communities provide the same functionality but they are ideally group or case specific areas created for users to learn and collaborate.
