D2L uses roles to determine what a user may do in a course. Each role has different permissions, and you might have more than one role depending on your tasks. You can also temporarily switch roles—for example, to view the course as a student. There’s a Demo Student option that lets you experience the course just like a real student. This section includes documents explaining these features.
