How to post a syllabus and course schedule?

Posting a syllabus and course schedule in D2L Brightspace is a straightforward process. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Go to the Content area in your course.
  2. Select or create the module where you’d like the syllabus or schedule to appear.
  3. Click Upload/Create > Create a File.
  4. Enter a title (e.g., “Syllabus” or “Course Syllabus”).
  5. Use the content editor to type or paste the information directly, or copy/paste from an existing document.
  6. Click Save and Close when finished.

This option allows students to view the syllabus or schedule directly within D2L without needing to download anything. 

  1. Log into D2L and go to your course.
  2. In the Course Navigation Bar, click on Content.
  3. Choose a module (e.g., “Start Here,” “Course Overview”) or create a new one by clicking Add a Module.
  4. In the module, click Upload/Create > Upload Files.
  5. Select your syllabus or course schedule file from your computer and click Open.
  6. The file will now be listed as a content item in the selected module, and students can easily view or download it.
