Manually Uploading Grades to the Registrar's Office

NOTE: Before following the steps below, please note that for the easiest upload to the Registrar's Office, you should format your D2L gradebook with a Grade Scheme that converts your grades to a 4.0 scale. Here is an example.

  1. Export your grade file from D2L by clicking Assessments > Grades > Enter Grades > Export

  2. You can use either csv or excel formats.
    export grades

  3. Download your classlist from Instructor Systems

  4. With both spreadsheets open, make sure that they are sorted so that the MSUNetID column in the classlist file matches the e-mail column in the gradebook file. They should be alphabetical.

  5. In the D2L gradebook export file, copy the column labeled Adjusted Final Grade Numerator (AF)

  6. In the classlist file, highlight the Grade column, and paste the grades.
