The following issues have been identified by the Desire2Learn Support Team based on our testing and information provided by the MSU Community. We appreciate your help in identifying these issues as we work with the vendor to provide resolution. Reviewing this list will inform you of existing issues with the system and their workarounds.
|Date of Problem||Title||Description||MSU Ticket Number||Problem Number||Status||Tool||Workaround|
|02/04/2014 - 14:30||Moving Modules around from the Table of Content causes errors||
Moving or dragging modules around within the Table of Contents leave behind copies of modules and submodules that are dropped out of their parent modules.
The only workaround for this issue is to export the content into a new shell course, edit it manually, delete the content in the original course and then import the newly edited content back into the original.
|01/09/2014 - 14:45||Can't open feedback files||
Students receive an error (404 Not found) when attempting to access their feedback files in a dropbox when accessing the dropbox through the content tab of a course.
|01/09/2014 - 14:15||Sending email to large email lists times out||
The page sending the email times out after 120 seconds, and only recepients who were processed during those 120 seconds will receive the email.
Send email in smaller groups, using the 200 user per page limit in the Classlist, or try to send the email after hours when the system can finish quicker.
|01/06/2014 - 14:30||Clicking on a link does not take you automatically back to the top of the dropbox||
It happens on links placed in content. The next page opens at the same location as where the link that was clicked on was placed.
There is no workaround and there is no fix to the problem.
|12/12/2013 - 15:00||If an instructor hides the Final Exam grade, to avoid students seeing it, students used weight achieved for the category.||
Category shows weighted average for hidden assignments in D2L if weighted average is not hidden also.
Hide the weight achieved separately.
|12/11/2013 - 14:45||Notifications||
Option to save notifications will not save if you try and change the default setting from "Discussions - new message posted to a forum, topic or message for which I subscribed to instant notifications" to any other option.
The only workaround is to select a different browser.
