We appreciate your help in identifying these issues as we work with the vendor to provide resolution. Reviewing this list will inform you of existing issues with the system and their workarounds.

|[RESOLVED] Sending email to large email lists may generate an error||
Updated on 10/30/17: The D2L email timeout issue has been addressed. As of 10/30/17 MSU is using the D2L hosted mail option. This option should allow the email process to complete more efficently and thus avoid the timeout issue.
Update on 10/18/17: The root cause of the email issue has been identified as a system time out issue. A fix for the issue is currently in progress with an ETA for resolution on 10/30/17.
MSU D2L instructors have reported intermittent errors when sending email to classlists over 100 students in D2L. When instructors send out email to large recipient lists an error message is generated or the email is not delivered to some recipients. At this time, the MSU IT team is seeking a solution to the problem and will keep users updated through this Known Issue Listing.

1) Consider sending email in smaller batches of 50 to 100 students at a time using the options to set the classlist page limit.

You may also want to communicate with your classes about the intermittent email errors by using a D2L News Item (Announcement) on your Course Homepage or posting a message to a Q&A Discussion Forum under Communication > Discussions.
|[RESOLVED] During Import/Export you get dropboxes copy errors||
This happens when groups and dropboxes were copied from course A to course B. Then delete the group dropboxes from course B and then copy components from course B to course C. The above error will then show up in the Copy Course History. When attempts to use Import/Export Copy funtion you can receives the error, “copy completed with error(s) for dropboxes".

When an instructor clicks on their attempts for Quizzes it doesn't show all the questions and their responses.

D2L will have to run a script on the course to fix the behavior. If you get the same issue in other courses file a ticket with D2L and include the incident ticket number of CA 566286. And D2L's ticket number INC00341767.
|[RESOLVED] Unlimited attempt quizzes||
Quizzes that are set to *unlimited attempts* should show unlimited attempts in the attempts tab of the quiz. In some cases an error is producted or a number is selected in the attempts tab. If this occurs contact the DLS Help Desk for second level support.

When doing a Import/Export/ Copy components objectives ard not copying in dropboxes and discussions. This behavior also occurs when you use the course copy batch feature.
